Bookkeeping Specialist/Universal Banking Specialist

Position Summary

The position of Bookkeeping Specialist is to provide support to the Bank in the Bookkeeping Department, ensuring all operational functions are completely and properly performed. In addition, the position has back-up duties assisting with the banks Call Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Customer Service / Branch Support

  • Compile weekly cash shipment reports (document variances)
  • Review of Daily Reports
    • Kite Suspect Report
    • DDA Large Item Report
    • Maintenance Report
    • ACH Reporting
    • ACH Auto Transfers
    • AFT’s
    • Dormant Accounts
    • ACH Unauthorized Returns
    • Debit Card Daily Limit Adjustments (Temporary and Permanent)
    • Daily review of bill pay users and limits
    • Weekly CD Interest Checks (review, monitor, print, and mail out)
    • Wire transfer operations including acceptance and management of executed wire agreements
    • Assist with annual dormant accounts maintenance and annual escheat reporting
    • Review and oversight of DDA charged off accounts
    • Assist customers and employees with internet banking issues, bill pay issues and account issues
    • Scanning of daily operations work
    • Assist with annual compliance disclosures (Privacy, ATM Notice, Identity Theft)
    • Assist Bookkeeping Supervisor with garnishments, forgeries, subpoenas, reclamations. Other duties may be assigned.
    • Assist with answering phone calls, chats, and ITM transactions for the banks Call Center.

Position Requirements

Graduation from high school (or equivalent) Experience in bookkeeping/accounting/ back office operations is highly preferred. Must be computer proficient in Word and Excel. Experience with bank data processing systems is preferred.
